Looking for hybrid power solutions for magicians and tech lovers? Just ask Matt Tran, otherwise known as "Magician Matt," where to find them. Matt spends his days making people smile. He's been performing magic since he was a teenager. And like so many other young adults, he found himself re-assessing his career priorities and ambitions during the pandemic.

Joining the growing ranks of young entrepreneurs, he decided to become a full-time magician and content creator. Matt hits the road frequently to develop an original magic show and make unique content. He never leaves the house without two things — self-confidence and well-prepared equipment.

Content creation and magic performances require "a lot of stuff," Matt says. His packing list often includes multiple cameras, a drone, microphones, a Macbook, a tablet, and a smartphone. If something runs out of battery, he needs to charge it fast — especially if that something is his trusty laptop. "My 14" MacBook Pro — I use it for almost everything," he explains. "Editing the magic performance music, editing photos, videos, communicating with clients — I charge it daily." And because he's on the road, Matt doesn't always have battery backup for a computer. Before Matt found Omnicharge, he often carried two to three power banks, a portable laptop charger, and all of his equipment. It was "really heavy and messy," he laments. Also, those tiny power banks weren't always enough.

Matt enjoys telling the story of a hike in Japan when he brought all of his camera equipment, including his drone and action camera.

He was enjoying the hike, taking photos and videos of the incredible landscape. Then, as he lifted his primary camera, he found himself face-to-face with every content creator's nightmare — the camera had already run out of all three batteries.

He was in the middle of the Japanese mountains, miles from a power source. So, finally, he had to turn to his iPhone, which couldn't do the stunning landscape justice. He still regrets not having his top-notch camera for the top-notch scenery.
